CV of speaker – Markus Dorer After studying textile chemistry and economics, he started in the industry in the early 90’s as assistant to the head of production in a high fashion print house. During the following years he was heading the printing departments of different fashion and home textile printing companies in Germany and in the UK. After having gained the industrial background, he took up a position in Global Marketing at BASF’s Textile Printing Division. In 1998 he joined DyStar's Textile Printing Department becoming Head of the Textile Printing Department in 2005, and since 2007 in addition, he became Head of the Digital Printing within DyStar. Synopsis: Textile Printing – Challenges and Outlook, Markus Dorer, DyStar The world has changed dramatically for textile print houses in the countries all over the world. The changing environment and the challenges arising for the textile print houses will be explained based on global views. An overview of the latest printing innovations from ITMA 2007 in Munich is presented and ways will be shown how to differentiate and to improve production with textile printing solutions.
